Stealth Frame

I HAVE A SMALL COLLECTION of figurine and plush octopi, and a silly “Beware of Octopus” sign I found on Amazon. (You can find a “Beware of just-about-anything” sign on Amazon.)

I bolted the sign to a panel of poplar, which then needed a leg to hold it upright. The word “stealth” occurred to me because the leg I came up with reminded me the wing of an autonomous stealth aircraft my friend, Robert, worked with. The leg’s shape emerged simply from flipping pieces of wood around to find a way to avoid having to glue endgrain to the load-bearing joint.
