About
November 2024
ACCORDING to the Wayback Machine at Archive.org, we’ve been publishing stuff on and off at theheals.org since 2001. You can browse around there and see some semi-non-working pages from past websites. Those earlier sites were focused more on our family with lots of content about Karen and our two sons, Daniel and Thomas.
The site from the mid-2000s was in some ways more sophisticated than this one, with a database behind it and lots of fancy scripting. At one point we even had a webcam of our aquarium streaming on it. You could switch the light on and off and blow bubbles at our fish by clicking buttons on a web page. But I maintained that site less and less frequently, and around 2020, it went dark.
Then I got the itch again, but I wanted to keep the scale of things more manageable. Work on this latest iteration began in late 2024. My main goal with this site is to document things I’ve made and other “artistic” endeavors, such as they are. Hopefully, with as little pretentiousness as possible, but apologies in advance for any induced cringing. 😁
