Box o’ Cables

I’VE GOT THIS PROBLEM with wires. I can’t stand dusty, kinked, unruly knots of wires, cables and power cords. They drive me crazy. I suppose it’s OCD-related, but it’s about the worst hang-up for someone into electronic music devices (which have A LOT of wires).
I tried to hide them away as much as possible in some plastic “cable management boxes” I found on Amazon. They came in a set of three: big, medium and small. I hoped the big box would be enough to hold all the spaghetti. Nope. Not even close. Even the big and medium boxes together was not enough space. Two different sized boxes sitting next to each other looked stupid, as well.
So, I had a humongous box laser cut from ¼ inch birch plywood. Its capacity is nearly twice that of the big and medium plastic boxes combined. Every wire, power supply, USB thingy and whatever else I can possibly stow is now in the big wooden box. There are still wires going between the box and the devices, and they do taunt me, but I just take deep breaths and try not to panic.
